What are you doing this weekend?
Posted 58 Days Ago By fatina
I have noticed that there has not been much activity in forums lately.  Why don't we just start a new, simple forum?  I am going out to listen to music this evening with another couple, and will go for a motorcycle ride with my husband this weekend.  So, what are all you ladies doing this weekend?

Don't know about that....

I need a new definition.  Biker chick makes me think of those ladies on the back of Hell's Angel's bikes.  I ride my own...used to race desert back in my younger days, and just retured to riding on the street.  Way easier, if those cars don't get you!

Good for you! Does this mean you'll be a "biker chick"? :)

I am taking a motorcycle training course to finalize my licence to ride on the streets.  I'm getting to old to have a learner's permit!

Not sure if I stated this weekends things going to do: I have a weekender staying with me, Old Fashion Festival is going on in my town, and I am going to try out my new combined driving cart which arrived today! On the sad notation:

Actually, when I first moved out from New York I lived in the Monterey   area, I just love it there.  San Jose is a little blah as far as scenery goes but you can't beat the weather.  Spent last week-end just puttering around the house.  We took the three dogs for a walk to Starbucks and met some friends there.  My little 20 yr. old yorkie needed to be carried back, the 17 yr. old walks slowly but she's doing ok.  Our 8 yr. old is still full of energy and he just loves the walk.  Hope all of you had a great week-end.
P.S.

I forgot to mention that this picture of me was taken in October at a campground called Ocean Cove in that banana belt region I was writing about.  Notice all those shadows!  Sunshine along the coast is a great thing in No. Cal.
Ah, the beach!

Even though I was born and raised in California, I never went to the beach until I was a freshman in high school.  I have been hooked ever since.  If you ever want a good tour of Northern California beaches, let me know.  There is an area known as the "Banana Belt" on the coast between Mendicino and Bodega Bay that actually gets a good amount of sunshine during the summer months.  It is quiet and much less over run with humans.  The otters are out there daily, and you can see whale migration in the right months.  You would like it!
Monterrey

Yes. I have been to Monterrey, Carmel, & Big Sur 3 times. Once, I spent all of Thanksgiving Day walking along the beach front park from Monterrey to the lighthouse. It was great! The weather was perfect. The other 2 times, thanksgiving as well, it wasn't as nice, but still wonderful. I stayed at the Monterrey Beach Hotel. Good times! But my husband (post trips) doesn't like the beach. Bummer!
Welcome, Phyllis!

Monterey is really beautiful, but Carmel is so quaint!  Did you get down there, too?
