I am an editor. My favorite passtime is reading. I enjoy the classics and miss my classics book club, but I typically read lots of schlock (i.e., Patricia Cornwell and similar pop authors) for fun. I love movies, from blockbuster and scifi fare to indie award winners. Can't stand slasher horror flicks though and am dismayed at the latest spate of crude, "date movies" that I believe demean women and sex. I like eating out at fine restaurants and interesting, non-chain ethnic venues. I have two wonderful daughters, both living in San Francisco. One is a 29-year-old artist/designer and the other is a 24-year-old soon-to-be law school student. We are very close and even vacation together.
