My husband and I are newcomers to Jacksonville Florida, having moved from Ocala two months ago. I enjoy reading, dining out, golf, bowling and am game for just about anything. I like to walk but need that extra push sometimes from someone to do it with. I miss friends I had in Ocala where we had a weekly Thirsty Thursday wine get together. Sometimes the husbands joined us, sometimes not. I think it is important to have girlfriends and have a life of your own.

I have just finished Vince Flynn's new book and if anyone has read any of his books I do hope we have someone like him looking out for us. I usually finish his books in a day or two and then look forward to the next one.

My husband and I are originally from Pittsburgh PA. We moved to Florida four years ago to be near our daughter who promptly took a new job and moved to Norfolk Virginia. I have told her we are not following her around the country so here we are and I am looking for some new friends. It is especially hard since I work out of my home, have no little kids so my meeting other women is limited.
