I'm in the USA for 13 months and am starting my adventure in San Francisco.  I have been granted a work visa, but am really only interested in voluntary work, doing my Art and having a good look at the USA.  My experiences will be lead by whatever takes my interest at the time.  I have nothing set in stone yet, other than taking an apartment in San Francisco as a base for the first three months.  I'm from a large family (5 sisters, one brother) and have a wide group of friends across Australia. I'm very keen to meet women here, for friendship, stimulation and local knowledge. I was in a walking group which was initiated by three women who were all new to Melbourne about 12 years ago. Over the years, some have come and gone, with probably about 30 'members' overall.  Every Friday morning, whoever can make it meets for a 1 hour walk and finish with a coffee.  Sometimes there may only be two or three, usually around 8-12. When my husband of 38 years died suddenly three years ago, I experienced and realised the true value of friendships.  I'm looking to start a similar group here.  I'm in San Francisco bay area so if your'e interested, please contact me.
